So, what exactly is a "Forkfighter"?
I am a non-professional german artist focused on the combination of digital and traditional art techniques. Originally coming from pencil sketches, I was quickly attracted by the clarity and contrast of ballpoint pen drawings, along with the nearly exhaustless possibility of raising the detail level in this kind of picture.
Trying to combine traditional and digital media has since then been my primary artistic goal.
A hat, a coat and a walking stick...
...or: the weapons of choice.
Currently, I am working with standard black ballpoint pens in medium and thick (160 g/m^2) A4-paper to avoid crumpling. For digital aspects of my pictures I use the graphics manipulation freeware GIMP. In very rare cases I make use of an A4 Wacom Intuos Graphics Tablet, but in most of the cases the mouse is my first choice. The backgrounds for some of the pictures are based on photographs shot with a Canon Powershot S95 and a Kodak EasyShare DX7630, but usually undergo massive manipulation through the addition of new layers via GIMP. In some cases, I use further textures from CG Textures and Mayang Textures.
